NewBorn Check up & Blood Test

Why do you need it? We don't want to be overly dramatic and cause you to worry about your child's every breath. We do advise taking a blood test, though. You may wonder why? The answer is simple, while your child is in your belly, we can only do minor checks and we have no idea of his blood panel, we don't know if his sugar level is high, if he is already suffering iron deficiency or anything else to worry about. Therefore to offer you peace of mind, we would recommend in early weeks after your baby comes to the world to book someone professional like Nela Santé ofcourse from the comfort of your home to make sure that everything is alright.

Diseases Prevented: It can prevent rare genetic, hormone-related, and metabolic issues or simply indicate which aspects of daily life you should monitor more to make sure that your baby's health stays at its highest point.

Newborn care initial visit- assessment and teaching

Why do you need it? As being a parent ourselves we know how many questions you will want to ask everyone and how little of answers you will get since every person around you had a different and unique experience. We want you to get answers tailored to your situation only. This is the reason we offer the newborn care initial visit. During the visit, we will measure your baby’s weight, height, we will explain to you how to properly bathe your baby, what and how you may want to take care of umbilical cord, best techniques for breastfeeding and other helpful tips tailoring to your situation. Not all moms have enough milk to breastfeed, not everyone knows how often to bath your baby or if you must change their diapers after each single urination. We know that and this is the reason why Nela Santé offers this service within the Greater Montreal Area.
